It all starts with a conflict  in the region of interest. Perhaps, um, Iraq for example.
So we rev up world opinion with news stories, negative  propaganda and ultimately
acknowledging  the threat  that  might  exist to the free world. After gaining world support and public  opinion ( woo hoo.* done with sarcasm ) We pack up our Marines, Army and Navy and head to the specified  region  and kick ass. The real  goal  in this scenario is simply a show for the neighboring trouble   making countries who for years have taken cheap shots at the Big Dog and have   gotten  away  with it. Well, Sometimes the Big Dog has to bite back   instead of just bark.
  We make  an example of a once  powerful  but  obviously   weak  foe. We attack with  fierce weapons . It’s resembles   slapping around your little brother’s  friends. It is obviously one sided but you make your point. More importantly you have accomplished several  other   agendas  besides taking  out a Dictator.

1) We have  as a result of war: Warmed up the machine to  fight in a region of the world that has been almost  impossible to make  a presence  in. The fighting force understand the terrain  and weather  pitfalls . More so,   The fighting field will be almost IDENTICAL in the entire  Middle East. It is more than obvious that this Iraqi conflict is more of a pre curser to the Big Game. War with the Terrorist  friendly  nations – or more  directly  the Middle East.

2) We have  as a result of war:   Shown these radical extremists  and terrorist friendly countries that the play time  is over and they  are about   to get fucked – hard!
I watch  representatives  of Yemen,  Palestine, Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Iran,  Afghanistan and more importantly Saudi Arabia running to the U.N., looking for worldwide  public support . Looking for redemption  and protection. Cracking down on selective  terrorist groups in their  country  is  hardly   a way  to show  that they mean business. It may fool the more passive countries of the world but not the Big Dog. They have  a major ass kicking coming   which seems to be inevitable.  I can’t  blame  them  for fearing for their lives. After all, most of them are Billionaires  and stand to loose everything. Including a place to spend what ever  money  they  can pack   in trucks and run away with.

  When I reflect on what I have written I have to admit,  It’s frightening.
We  are becoming the world  police,  whether  we like it or not.
We are becoming the world government,  whether  we like it or not.
We are becoming big brother,  whether  we like it or not.

I wonder  if all of this is really  necessary  for world  order ?   Because  it seems there  will never  be a world  peace .   But like it or not,  Order  is coming.
